Air brushing quality is separately available on demand.

The stain is self levelling, thus ensuring a uniform layer.

The stain produces a highly uniform, glossy and transparent film, so as to look like coloured glass.

The stain produces a strong bond of film on the surface, which ensures good durability.

The stain can be applied to glass panels, plastic sheets, tiles, ceramics, metal foils, and can be used to decorate jewellery, glass articles, crystal items, coasters, furniture or any other decorative items such as art objects/sculptures.

Always level the glass before starting the job.

Always clean the surface free of dust, grease & moisture before application & avoid direct fan till the job dries.

The stain can be applied directly from the bottle; of course it can be spread with the cap of the bottle or brush while wet.

As a rule, never shake any Transparent variety before use.

For longer life, it is advised to keep the job away from Direct sunlight.

As a rule, always shake well all the Opaque, Metallic and Textured(inc. glitters & sparkles) varieties before application, for proper results.

Pebble, Etch & Frost on application will give a translucent film of the respective effects. Overcoating on Pebble with any Sapphire Glass Stain colour/clear will enhance its effect. However, overcoating on Etch and Frost may be done, if desired.

In case of Krinkle, the desired Krinkle effect will only develop after overcoating the dried krinkle film with any Sapphire Glass Stain colour/clear.

In case of Crocodile, Marble Chips, Golden Beads, Silver Beads, Glitters & Sparkles, overcoat need not be done, as the original film itself will give the respective effect.

Wherever overcoat is done, the same should be applied only after the film on which it is applied, has completely dried.

Overcoat should always be done with Sapphire Glass Stain only & not with any other brand of colour.

Never apply any textured variety under running fan, and keep the fan off till the film dries, as air may disturb the texture formation.

Metallic, Glitter and Sparkle films usually give better effect on the reverse.

Metallic Film should not be overcoated at all.

Thicker the layer of coating applied, bolder will be the resultant texture.

The art of glass staining is gaining popularity throughout the world. Interior decorators and furnishers are widely using stained glass for decoration at hotels, restaurants and houses. Following the instructions below, you can learn the art at home, in your leisure time. Once you learn the art, you can go on practicing, using Sapphire Glass Stain Traces of different designs and become an amateur artist and decorate your own home with your creations or even a professional stain glass artist and make a fortune.

INSTRUCTIONS:

First put the selected trace on a table and put the glass panel over it, edge to edge.

Then trace the outline neatly on the glass with any outliner tube. You should press the outliner tube gently, while moving it along the outlines of the design, ensuring that the lines are as uniform in thickness as possible. Allow the outlines to dry for a day.

When the outlines are dry, level the said glass with the help of level indicator, first along the length & then along the width of the glass. The level indicators are easily available in stationery shops. If the glass in not levelled then the colour, when wet, will flow from higher level to lower level due to gravity and will spoil the whole job. The glass can be levelled by placing sheets of old newspaper below the glass as per requirement.

Once the glass is properly levelled you are ready to stain the glass using “Sapphire Glass Stain”. Clean each block of the outlined glass, to free it from dirt grease etc before applying the glass stain. Next step is to decide on the colour scheme. Once the colour scheme is decided, start staining your glass, block by block, starting from top to bottom by applying Sapphire Glass Stain directly from the nozzle bottle.Press the bottle gently and move it inside the block that needs to be stained with that particular colour. Starting from top to bottom ensures that you do not spoil the design by touching the wet colours by mistake.

Remember that each colour in a block of design(covered by outlines) should be completed in one shot.

Similarly go on staining the design with different Sapphire colours / varieties as per the colour scheme, block by block, till the job is fully stained.

Always remember to check for air bubbles while the job is wet. The bubbles should be gently pricked by the hairs of the art brush, while the job is wet. Also remove the atmospheric impurities with the art brush, which might have settled onto the stain while you were staining. The stain will automatically level itself.

Leave the job to dry overnight, covering it with a tray or an empty card board box to avoid settling of dirt on the job, during its drying period. Also ensure that the covering does not touch the job directly. Also ensure that some air space is left on the sides of the covering, so that the vapours go out, to enable the job to dry.

Once the job is complete, the same can be fixed at the desired place or framed as per requirement.
